Welcome

11/20/2019: Annapurna Base Camp Trek, Nepal. The Himalayas simply never disappoints. On this trip, we were able to see two eight thousander class mountains Annapurna I (8091m) and Dhaulagiri I (8167m), the 10th and 7th tallest mountain in the world respectively.

08/24/2019: Trekking in Northern Alps, Japan. Lucky enough to catch clear sky days in between typhoons to get a glimpse of the tallest mountains in Japan. This time, was able to climb the major peaks of Hotaka range and also for the first time descend into Kamikochi from the more advanced Dakesawa path.

10/21/2018: Trekking in Langtang Valley, Nepal. Simply can not get enough of the Himalayas, the roof of the world with unmatched breathtaking views. More in the Nepal section of the website.

07/8/2018: Trip to Bhutan and an excursion deep into the Himalayas to see a glimpse of Mt Jomolhari. Please feel free to go into the Bhutan section of the website to see more pictures.

11/14/2016: Went to Bagan, Myanmar (Burma) famous for the pagodas standing from the 9th to 13th centuries when Bagan was the capital of the kingdom of Pagan. The misty morning sunrises were breathtaking and gave a glimpse of a time-slipped landscape.

6/11/2016: Visited the prefecture of Mie, known in Japanese myth within the “Nihon Shoki” to be where the sungoddess amaterasu decended to earth and painted the mountainous lands of Japan.

5/15/2016: Took a day trip to Shizuoka to see the Shiraito waterfall in Fujinomiya. As the name suggests (translates to “white string”) the water fall is distinct with many thin white strands of water rather than the traditional single large stream. On a good day one can see Mount Fuji poking its head out above the falls (we were lucky).

2/13/2016: Zao, Yamagata was one of the best ski trips Ive taken (although falls short of Verbier Switzerland) as it not only offered powder snow with trails as long as 10km but it also had one of the most unreal landscapes. The mountain summit opened way to a world full of snow monsters and surreal natural sculptures.

Welcome to renewal of nishiphotography.com. Please take a look at the latest photos from Iceland as the landscape was unparalleled to anything I have ever seen. The lower sun positioning in November allowed for a longer window for blue hour, providing ideal conditions for colorful photos.
